Where parts ship from, and why that matters for timing
Build A Drone doesn't hold stock. Parts are sourced from a network of vetted suppliers and shipped directly to you once you order - the model that lets us offer real parts at a lower price than a UK retailer holding its own warehouse, and it comes with a genuine trade-off worth being upfront about: delivery takes longer than next-day.
Most orders arrive within 10 days. Some take longer - occasionally 14 to 21 days - depending on the specific parts in your order and where they're coming from. We'd rather tell you that plainly now than have you discover it after you've paid. If your order is time-sensitive, contact us before ordering and we'll tell you what we can about the specific parts you want.
Every part is individually checked and confirmed before it's listed for sale (see "Checked by hand, not fed in" on the product page) - the wait buys curation and UK consumer-rights coverage that ordering the same part directly from an overseas marketplace yourself does not give you.
A more specific, per-part delivery estimate is planned for product pages once our sourcing pipeline pulls real delivery data from suppliers directly; until then, the range above is the honest, storefront-wide figure to plan around.
Delivery area
We currently ship within the United Kingdom only. If that changes, this page will say so before it's true anywhere else on the site.
Delivery cost
Delivery is free on orders over £60. Below that, delivery is charged at checkout, calculated by Shopify's shipping rates for your order - the exact cost is always shown before you pay, never after.
Tracking and delays
Where a supplier provides tracking, we pass it on. Because parts come from more than one supplier, a multi-item order may arrive in more than one parcel, on different days, without that meaning anything has gone wrong.
If your order hasn't arrived within the range above, contact us with your order number and we'll chase it down. Don't assume it's lost before then - most "late" parcels inside that window are just still moving.
Delivery address and failed deliveries
Please double-check your delivery address at checkout. Because orders ship from overseas suppliers, a re-delivery after a wrong address is slower and sometimes not possible at all - if you spot a mistake, contact us as soon as possible after ordering and we'll try to correct it before the order ships.
Questions
If you need a firmer answer than the range above before you buy - especially for a build you're assembling to a deadline - contact us and ask about the specific parts in your build.
