Terms of service

Last reviewed: 8 September 2026

These terms apply to any order placed through buildadrone.co.uk. By placing an order, you accept them. They sit alongside, and never replace, your statutory rights as a consumer.

Who you're contracting with

Build A Drone is a trading name of Automated Europe Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16951017, registered office 10 Smiths Drive, Swansea, Wales, SA1 7GB).

Orders and contract formation

Placing an order is an offer to buy, not an accepted contract. We accept your order, and a contract is formed, when we dispatch it (or tell you it's on its way) - not at the moment of payment. This means that if a listing has a genuine pricing or stock error, we can cancel and refund it in full before dispatch, rather than being bound to honour a mistake.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in your selected currency, inclusive of VAT at the prevailing UK rate unless stated otherwise. Payment is taken through Shopify's checkout; we never see or store your full card details.

The build configurator

The build configurator at app.buildadrone.co.uk is a design tool to help you put a build together. Where we can confirm a part's fit or compatibility with your chosen frame, we show that. Where we can't yet confirm it, it's marked Unknown - that means genuinely unconfirmed, not confirmed-to-fit, and it's on you to use reasonable judgement or ask us before relying on it for a build that has to work first time.

Delivery and returns

Delivery timelines are set out in our shipping policy. Returns and your statutory rights for faulty or misdescribed goods are set out in our returns and refunds policy.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Beyond that, our liability for a problem with an order is limited to a refund or replacement of that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (for example, loss of enjoyment of a hobby project, rather than the cost of the parts themselves).

Intellectual property

The Build A Drone name, logo, and the content of this site belong to Automated Europe Limited or its licensors. You can use it to shop and share what you've built; you can't copy the site itself or use our branding to imply an endorsement that doesn't exist.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts - this doesn't remove your right, as a consumer, to bring a claim in your own country's courts if you live elsewhere in the UK.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top always reflects the current version. Changes don't apply retroactively to an order already placed.
